If you are a skateboarder living in the midwest and you don't know who Fauser is, its time to come out from the rock you live under and proceed forth. Steve's been shralping the Illy scene for many years now, and we caught up to him in between one of his many roadtrips to pick his brain. He's had a big change in his life recently, and this is what he had to say about it.........
"Crimson as we once knew it is done. It still exists, but Kris Markovich and all of us are not a part of it anymore. Kris and his wife Amy, who was a huge part of the brand, were over certain people at Crimson and Art House (distribution). Kris originally wanted to buy out the problematic people to take over Crimson fully. Months later, and after lawyer battles, the bad guys wouldn't budge, so Kris got out. He grabbed his share and walked away from Crimson for good."
"I got into Kris's car in Atlanta recently, and he told me all of the bad news. Later that day, the entire Crimson team, including myself, quit to ride for GIVEN. Given is essentially the same look and feel that Crimson had (Markovich artwork), with the same team. The only difference is that NOW its a skateboarder owned and operated company."
